BIGODI WETLAND SANCTUARY.
This is situated just outside Kibale Forest National Park in the magombe swamp. It is known for a wide range of wildlife that includes primates, such as Chimpanzee, Red colobus, Black and white colobus, red tailed monkey and other mammals such as Sitatunga, Bushbuck, Otter and Mangoose.
Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is also home to 138 bird species which can be seen during the guided walk from viewing platforms and a boardwalk trail.
LAKE BUNYONYI.
This is a picturesque mountain Lake whose 29 islands now house several resorts providing a perfect atmosphere for relaxation. It is 1962 meters above sea level and is surrounded by steep sided mountainous scenery. Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest lake in Africa (44m-990m) and is free from Bilharzia. It has over 200 recorded bird species.
Lake Bunoyonyi has got a lush terraced country side, with nice weather (max temp 25 degrees Celsius) which is very ideal for visitors to come and enjoy the scenery. Swimming, dug out canoe excursions, birding and a visit to the Batwa villages are the activities available.
LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
Lake Mburo National Park is a gem of a park, its landscapes are varied and a short drive is alive with interest and colour. You will pass a gallery forest, open savanna and acacia woodland, rock kopjes, seasonal and permanent swamps, and open water as you search for the wealth of wildlife they support. This includes species such as Impala, Burchel’s Zebra and Eland that are not found elsewhere in western Uganda.
The varied habitats in Lake Mburo National Park support an impressive variety of wildlife including 68 mammal species, common ones being the Topi, Warthog Buffalo, Oribi, Defesa Waterbuck and Reedbuck. Leopard and Hyena are also present while Hippo and Crocodile are found in the Lake.

Lake Mburo National Park has also a very respectable bird list with around 315 species recorded including the Shoebill, Papyrus yellow warbler, African fin foot, Saddle billed stork, Brown chested wattled plover, Carruther’s cisticola, Tabora cisticola, Great snipe, Abyssinian ground hornbill and White winged warbler.

Day 1: Depart from Kampala at 8:00 am and drive southwest to Lake Mburo National Park, you will have a stop at the Equator to take photographs. On arrival you will check into the Mihingo
Lodge and then have Lunch. In the afternoon you go for a Nature
walk (walking safari) to the Salt Lick.
Dinner and overnight at
Mihingo Lodge. (B,L,D)
Day 2: Wake up early have breakfast then go for a game drive thereafter you go for a picnic Lunch by the Lake shore or at the Information center. At 2:00 pm you go for a Boat trip on Lake Mburo to see a variety of birds and some wildlife then you return to the Lodge. The evening is at your leisure. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge. Day 3: After breakfast try out the activities of Quad biking or Horse riding or you relax by the swimming pool then have Lunch at the Lodge. Thereafter you return to Kampala and you are dropped at your Hotel or Residence. (B, L)
