The gorilla safari in Uganda covers an experience of Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park a home to the biggest number of mountain gorillas in the world. The visitor can trek the mountain gorillas and also interact with the local communities with walks to the nearby villages.
Arrival transfer to Protea Hotel:
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport where you will be welcomed by Meet in Uganda / UTB 2004 staff. From here you will be transferred to Protea Hotel by Marriott Entebbe for your overnight. Meal plan: B/B
Briefing on the Gorilla safari & transfer to Entebbe Airport for your domestic flight to Bwindi impenetrable National park.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Entebbe airport for your connecting flight Aero link to Bwindi Impenetrable National park for your gorilla safari. On arrival at Kihihi airstrip you will be picked up and transferred to the lodge and check in at Sanctuary Gorilla forest camp. After your lunch meal enjoy community village walk where you will interact with the local community and get an opportunity to see how the people surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable community live. You will see how women do hand crafts like mats, baskets, bags and purchase of these crafts supports the local work groups, observe faming using traditional hoes, tea picking and processing, Visit the school and engage with the students and teachers, see how these children learn with out technology like use of computers. Another exciting activity is the local brewing demonstration using Bananas from the plantations. Including the distilling of a local gin made from Bananas (Waragi-aterm that used in Uganda to mean Gin).You will get an opportunity to taste Uganda’s local beer made from bananas. Meal plan: B, L, D
